Sidley Austin boost female promotion

Great to see firms boosting their female partner ranks this year. After a wide spread cry for action more and more law firms have taken strides to promote diversity and equality.

With a 5% increase of new female partners the US firm also dominated the partnership round, accounting for 25 of the promotions. 

Sidley’s Chicago headquarters saw the most promotions across all of the firms and the broad mix of practice areas included ensured that fair and equal opportunity were felt an communicated across the firm.

Seeing the vast improvements to  tracking of demographic statistics in the firm is a great example of how other firms alike should be tackling their upcoming promotion rounds.

Now more than ever the ability to promote and provide more diversity and inclusion-focused scholarships and internships for law students is vital for the growth and survival of firms across the world!
